LINDA DONATO, FORMER HBRAMA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, DIES AT 74
Linda (Sorensen) Donato, executive vice president of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Massachusetts for more than 17 years, passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2019. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Radulski) Sorensen and Niels A. Sorensen.
Linda spent her youth in Lakeville, MA and graduated from Apponequet Regional High School. Linda graduated from Bridgewater State College and taught in Hingham before moving to Spain to teach for the U.S. Department of Defense, and then moved to Brussels, Belgium.
Linda returned to Massachusetts to work as an office manager for various building/developing businesses, including John S. Marini of Canton. She later earned her Real Estate brokers license. Linda was devoted to the Home Builders and Remodelers Association. She enjoyed helping the members and was responsible for numerous functions. She especially took pride in producing Bay State Builder magazine and its predecessor publication, MassBuilder.
“Linda was a joy to work with,” said Greg Spier, past president of the HBRAMA. “She was a sweet, wonderful person who contributed greatly to the success of the association and its members.”
In recent years Linda enjoyed working part time at the Christmas Tree Shop. She was a longtime resident of North Attleboro. She will long be remembered for her excellent sense of style and attention to detail, as well as her her quick wit and cherished friendships.
